‘Sales and TS at Rousselot work side by side,’ says Pierre-Albert Thomas whose dual job as Marketing & Sales Director Southeast Asia & Japan and Global Technical Support Director, in fact, embodies our vision. ‘In many cases, we even visit customers together. While a Sales colleagues negotiates a contract, the TS representative will be there to discuss technical aspects with the customer, from the feasibility of their plans to technical specifications. Many collagen suppliers do not offer backing like this. It requires the internal configuration and capabilities in science, R&D, innovation and application, that Rousselot has developed throughout its long history. Many of our customers know it is part of our DNA to work with them this way. If you have a challenge or problem, a new idea, our TS specialists will either have already dealt with something like it before, or will help you to quickly find the best way forward. They are not themselves deep specialists in science, quality or application, but they are highly skilled in understanding the challenge and bringing the right experts to the table: they always work on the interface between our labs and factories, our sales teams and customers. Our combination of Sales with this cross-disciplinary Technical Support is one reason why customers like to work with us. It’s also why TS is more and more involved in business development.
