Dr. Jeff Daelman

Jeff has a bioengineering background and holds a PhD in Applied Biological Sciences. He spent several years working on parenteral process validation at Pfizer, before joining Rousselot’s product and business development team in 2016.

What’s your mission at Rousselot Biomedical? What are you working on?

My mission at Rousselot Biomedical is to enable the clinical translation of hundreds of gelatin applications that will benefit all patients of the future. We’re currently working on a range of modified gelatins (GelMA and others) with customizable physical and chemical properties to enable significantly wider applications.

Which aspect of your work inspires you the most?

What most drives me in our biomedical segment is that we contribute – however small in some cases – to new solutions for patients. It is inspiring to know that you are a small part of the medicine of the future and that you are helping people across so many clinical and therapeutic angles.
