Fostering safe, healthy workplaces
At Rousselot, we make sure all our sites are safe and inclusive, with employees feeling valued and able to perform at their best every day. We support our employee’s individual development through stronger onboarding, internal and external training opportunities, internal promotion where possible, and regular performance reviews. This helps each Rousselot team member to reach their full potential.
Building an inclusive working environment
We believe that our working environment should be respectful to all. We promote inclusion and diversity wherever possible, filling in roles without regard to color, religion, sex, gender identity, national origin, disability, age, and other legally protected characteristics.
- We follow Darling Ingredient’s Code of Conduct, guaranteeing labor rights and a respect for human rights
- This Code of Conduct includes a commitment to non-discrimination and anti-harassment
- We encourage a multi-cultural working environment, for example, by enabling staff to work at plants outside their native country when possible
Keeping our people safe
Fulfilling our #1 priority for workers, contractors and visitors, ‘Home safe, every day’, includes preventive measures, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Prevention
Through regular training and sharing of the ‘8 Life-Saving Rules’, we aim to prevent serious injuries - Monitoring
With strict monitoring of accidents rates and their severity, we increasingly understand which new actions to undertake - Continuous improvement
New Health and Safety objectives are set every year to improve our performance. These may include, for example, additional machinery risk assessments, safety training, or electrical system controls.
Through the collective effort of everyone at Rousselot, the Lost Time Injury (LTI) decreased by 51% between 2013 and 2020.
