Valorizing collagen-rich materials
By continuously refining our technologies, we create high-value products from collagen. This means maximum quality and ingredients with the properties, functionalities, nutritional value, and health benefits people across the world expect.
Upcycling to ensure maximum efficiency
Extracting gelatin and collagen from raw materials yields a number of valuable side streams that we valorize. This is one way of reaching for a waste-free, circular economy. All of our by-products can be processed and used in feed or fertilizers:
- Valuable proteins – including those remaining in our last production batches – are used in feed applications
- Fat is used in the pet food and feed industry
- DCP (dicalcium phosphate) is used in feed to combat calcium and/or phosphorous related deficiencies in all livestock
- Sludge from our processes is used in fertilizers, for example, at the plant in Isle sur la Sorgue
